Siarhiej Kazhamiakin

Sergey Kozhemyakin (born in 1956, Minsk, BSSR) – photographer. Lives and works in Minsk. In 1979 graduated from the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute in Minsk, majoring in the technologies of mechanical engineering .

In 1985-1986 he studied photography at Valery Lobko’s studio. Professionally working in photography since 1989. From 2004 to 2007 Kozhemyakin  taught a photography course at the Art Department of the Belarusian State University. Since 2005 has been engaged in compiling the manual “Photography Art and Photo Business in Belarus.”

Sergey Kozhemyakin’s photographic practice is considered in the context of the phenomenon of the Minsk school of creative photography.
