Sergey Brushko

Sergey Brushko (born May 28, 1958 in Gorodeya, Minsk region – † 2000) – photographer.

He worked as a photojournalist for the newspapers “Kaliishchyk Salihorshchyny”, “Chyrvonaya Zmena”, “Narodnaya Gazeta”, participated in the Belarusian-Swiss exhibition and publishing project “Searching for Belarus. The Twentieth Year after Chernobyl” (in cooperation with the Swiss photographer Hugo Jaeggi) (1998). His photographs took part in the exhibitions in Germany, Switzerland, Belarus, Ireland.

Sergey Brushko left an invaluable collection of documentary photography with its visual language being close to Cartier-Bresson’s style.
